Elevator to Hilltop

Visitors to Nice should make sure to include a visit to Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau) in their itineraries.

Attractions on the hilltop include an ancient ruin and a spectacular view of the City of Nice and the Bay of Angels (Mediterranean Sea).

For those not wanting to climb the many steps to the hilltop, a quick trip by elevator is a good option.

The entrance to the elevator to Castle Hill can be found at the eastern end of the Promenade des Anglais just steps from the seaside.  Take a good look at the above photograph as the elevator can be a little difficult to find.
